Yesterday I woke up to a message that my mother in laws copy of String Frenzy had arrived.
I had to go check it out. Some of the quilts in here are definitely on my to-do list (Sandcastles anyone?) but I have some others that need to be finished first.
While I was there, I swapped a few handfuls of crumbs out to add variety to my blocks.
I also dug through the 1 1/2″ strip bin for neutrals.
I ended up snagging a stack of smaller fabric pieces that need to be cut into strips.
Once I got home I went to work cutting 1 1/2″ strips for a work-in-Progress pattern.
I’m hoping to get these put into a quilt top over the weekend. This one I believe will be added to the free patterns tab when it’s a complete top. It all depends how long I drag my feet writing the instructions.
I also had time between running errands and going to work, to play around on EQ for a few minutes. I was able to get a design out of my head and onto the laptop. I have a very specific color palette for this one, and my stash isn’t going to cut it. That just means a trip to the fabric store is in my future….
I’m looking forward to getting some machine time in this weekend, and I’m excited to post Week Three of our Block of the Week Challenge. Are you sewing along with us? If you haven’t started yet, you can find all the information under the Block of the Week tab at the top of the blog.
Until next time,
